Sewage and rainwater pumping stations

Wastewater and stormwater pumping stations are designed to transport sanitary, domestic and stormwater flows in locations where gravity drainage is not possible. Water flows through the pressure pipeline to a decompression chamber, gravity or pressure collectors, as well as to other receivers. We offer complete, prefabricated solutions tailored to the individual needs of each project — from small domestic installations to extensive industrial and municipal systems.

Pumping stations are useful in areas with unfavourable terrain or difficult ground and water conditions, where deeper installation of the collector is not possible or where the receiver is located at a considerable distance.
High-quality tanks made of HDPE, reinforced concrete or polymer concrete, combined with modern pumps and reliable control automation, ensure efficient and trouble-free operation.

Pumping stations are designed for easy installation, operation and maintenance, making them an ideal solution for both private and municipal projects.

Pump operating configuration in standard applications

Alternating operation

Each pump operates at a capacity equal to the total capacity of the pumping station at the assumed pumping head. One pump operates in each cycle.

Parallel operation

A configuration involving the simultaneous operation of two pumps, which together provide the total capacity of the pumping station at the assumed pumping head.

Types of pump impellers used in AquaPomp pumping stations

Open impeller (Vortex)

The vane impeller rotates horizontally, generating centrifugal force that directs the medium towards the discharge port. As a result, the medium does not flow directly through the impeller structure; the impeller only provides the driving force needed to transport wastewater. A characteristic feature of this type of impeller is its large free passage, which makes the system resistant to potential clogging.

Channel impeller

The medium flows directly through the impeller structure. It is characterised by high efficiency, which makes it suitable for transporting large volumes of stormwater.

Pumping station equipment

  • Hydraulic accessories for pumps: a coupling foot connecting the pump to the pressure pipeline, which transports the medium to the network.
  • Stainless steel guide rails used for lowering and lifting pumps without the need to enter the tank.
  • Pressure pipelines made of stainless steel or PVC-U.
  • Non-return and shut-off fittings adapted to the specific diameters of the discharge risers.
  • Access ladder with anti-slip rungs.
  • Additional equipment: operating platform, access handrails, deflector.
  • Ventilation stacks made of PVC or stainless steel, also available with an anti-odour filter.
  • PLC controller with display.

The control cabinet of each pumping station, equipped with a dedicated controller, is responsible for comprehensive management of the pumping system. Its range of functions may include:

  • Pump control – in automatic or manual mode.
  • Timed pump start-up – in the case of low liquid inflow.
  • Liquid level measurement.
  • Protection of pumps against “dry running” – preventing damage.
  • Optical and acoustic signalling of emergency states – with the option to mute the audible alarm.
  • Parallel pump operation lockout.
  • Możliwość ustawienia limitu czasu pracy pomp.
  • Counting pump operating time and the number of pump start-ups.
  • Emergency pump control – using float switches.

Reliable Bio-Aqua pumping stations

Safety and control system

Pumping stations are equipped with advanced protection and control systems that monitor pump operation, ensure safe performance and automatically respond to failures or irregularities.

Hydraulic system

All pumping station components are connected by a hydraulic system that enables the efficient flow of wastewater and stormwater through the system.

One or two submersible pumps

Properly selected submersible pumps ensure effective pumping of sewage and rainwater to the appropriate distance or to a higher level.

Tank

The tank of the pumping station is used to collect and store sewage before it is pumped. It is tailored to the requirements of a specific system and provides adequate capacity.
